About Kristan Schiller
Kristan Schiller brings the same amount of passion to KC Media Partner’s clients as she does to traveling and writing about the world. For the past 20 years, Schiller has covered business, feature and travel topics for some of the world’s top publications.
She has been published in The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Architectural Digest, Afar, Town & Country, Salon.com, and Fodors.com, among others, and is author of the Fodor’s Guide to East and Southern Africa, Fodor’s London, and The Berlitz Pocket Guide to Cape Town. As a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of London – where she earned a Master’s degree in African Studies – Schiller has also worked as an editor for Fodor’s Travel, and as a copywriter for the internationally-curated clothier The J. Peterman Company along with the upscale tour operator Lindblad Expeditions (which has since merged with National Geographic Expeditions). When she’s not trekking across the Serengeti with a fold-up tent and a Masai guide, sleeping on a bed of ice in Montreal’s Ice Hotel or kayaking along the bayous of New Orleans, she enjoys taking long walks with her Great Dane, Piper.
